Laser-assisted liposuction
Unlike traditional liposuction, which breaks fat apart mechanically, laser liposuction uses heat delivered through a thin optical fibre to liquefy fat cells first. The softened fat is then removed through the same tiny entry points with fine cannulas, which means less trauma to the surrounding tissue, less bruising and a smoother finish. One procedure, a few weeks of patience.
Day 0 to month 3
Most areas are treated in a single procedure of two to three hours. Swelling hides the result at first; the contour reveals itself over the following weeks as the tissue settles.

Consultation
Dr. Eric Licea assesses fat thickness, skin quality, weight stability and your medical history, marks the areas and tells you plainly whether lipolaser, Endolift or surgery is the right tool.

The procedure
The area is marked and numbed with local anaesthetic. The laser fibre liquefies the fat, which is then removed through millimetre entry points. No general anaesthetic, no overnight stay.

The first ten days
Swelling, bruising and tenderness are expected. You wear a compression garment, walk gently every day and go back to desk work at around ten days.

Weeks two to four
Swelling resolves and the new contour appears. Full recovery, including a return to intense training, is usually reached at about four weeks.

Month three: the assessment
The result is reviewed with the photographs taken before treatment. The skin keeps tightening for a few more months as collagen builds.

For the long term
The fat cells removed do not return. A stable weight and an active life are what keep the new shape exactly where it is.

Lipolaser is for localised fat in people at or near their ideal weight, where the main problem is volume. When the main problem is loose skin rather than fat, body Endolift is usually the better tool.

Swelling, bruising and tenderness are part of the process, not complications. They peak in the first days and fade over the following weeks, while the skin settles onto the new contour.
You will be seen again for review. The compression garment and a stable weight do more for the final result than anything else you can do at home.

- Wear the compression garment exactly as instructed.
- Walk gently every day; no sauna, steam, hot baths or intense training.
- Skip alcohol and anything that thins the blood unless Dr. Licea prescribed it.
- Keep the entry points clean and dry.
Until your review
- Return to intense exercise only when cleared, usually at about four weeks.
- Keep your weight stable. It protects the new contour.
- Daily SPF on treated skin that sees the sun.

Who performs Lipolaser Seychelles procedures at Victoria Aesthetic?
Every lipolaser procedure is planned and performed by Dr. Eric Licea at our clinic in Mont Fleuri, Mahé, under local anaesthetic, after a face-to-face assessment of your fat distribution, your skin and your medical history.
How is lipolaser different from traditional liposuction?
Traditional liposuction breaks fat apart mechanically. Lipolaser liquefies it with laser heat first, so it can be removed through finer cannulas with less trauma, less bruising and a smoother result, and the heat also tightens the skin.
What is the difference between lipolaser and body Endolift?
Both use laser energy under the skin. Lipolaser is chosen when the main goal is removing fat volume. Endolift is chosen when the main goal is tightening loose skin, with fat extraction added only where needed. Dr. Licea recommends one or the other for each area.
Is it permanent?
The fat cells removed do not come back. The remaining cells can still grow if you gain weight, which is why a stable weight keeps the result where it is.
Does it hurt?
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, so the procedure itself is well tolerated. Afterwards, most people describe soreness and tightness, like after a very hard workout, for the first days.
How long is the recovery?
For most Lipolaser Seychelles patients, desk work resumes at around ten days and full recovery, including intense training, takes about four weeks, with a compression garment worn as instructed.
Why is the price given at consultation?
Because it depends on how much fat is removed, how many areas are combined and whether skin tightening is added. The double chin and the neck-and-jowl procedure have fixed prices; body areas receive a written quote after your assessment.
Will it help with cellulite or loose skin?
It tightens the skin over the treated area, but it is not a cellulite treatment and it cannot remove a real excess of skin. For those, body mesotherapy, body Endolift or surgery may be part of the plan.
