AT A GLANCE

Skip the gut. Skip the guesswork.

Whatever you swallow has to survive digestion and then be absorbed through the gut wall, and for several nutrients that absorption is actively limited. An intravenous infusion bypasses that step entirely: everything in the bag enters the circulation. That is not a marketing claim; it is what intravenous means.

What an IV drip is not is a replacement for food, sleep or a diagnosis. The honest use of IV therapy is targeted: when you need fluids and nutrients quickly, when oral intake is not getting you there, or when a specific formulation makes sense for your goal. That is why every drip here begins with a short medical review — and why, occasionally, the answer is that you do not need one.

THE SCIENCE, HONESTLY

Same dose. Very different blood level.

Vitamin C is the best-studied example of why the route matters.

In a pharmacokinetic study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, researchers at the US National Institutes of Health gave healthy volunteers the same 1.25 g dose of vitamin C by mouth and by vein. Taken intravenously, it produced a peak blood concentration roughly six and a half times higher.

The reason is the gut: intestinal uptake of vitamin C runs through a transporter that saturates, so beyond a certain dose, swallowing more does not raise blood levels meaningfully. Their modelling put the intravenous route at 30 to 70 times the ceiling achievable orally.

Two things keep this honest. First, very high levels are short-lived, because the kidneys clear vitamin C quickly. Second, a higher blood level is not the same as a proven clinical outcome for every wellness claim you will read online. We use IV therapy where the route genuinely adds something — and tell you when it does not.

What a session looks like

NO TIME FOR A DRIP?

IM shots: under ten minutes.

An intramuscular injection delivers a concentrated vitamin dose into the muscle, where it is absorbed into the circulation without passing through the digestive system. There is no infusion and no fluid, so the appointment is minutes rather than an hour.

IM shots suit single nutrients where a small volume is enough — vitamin B12 is the classic example — and patients who want a regular top-up between drips. They are not a way to deliver hydration or large multi-ingredient formulations; for that, the drip remains the right tool.

MEDICAL REVIEW, EVERY TIME

An infusion is a medical procedure. We treat it like one.

  • Screened before the first dripMedical history, current medication, allergies and pregnancy are reviewed before anything is prescribed. Some formulations need a blood test first.
  • Kidneys and heart come firstFluid volume is adjusted — or an infusion declined — in heart or kidney disease, and high-dose vitamin C is not given where kidney stones or impaired kidney function make it inadvisable.
  • G6PD before high-dose vitamin CIn people with G6PD deficiency, high-dose vitamin C can trigger the breakdown of red blood cells. Where it matters, we test before we infuse.
  • Sterile, monitored, single-useEvery cannula and line is single-use. You are observed throughout, and the nurse stays with you until the infusion is complete and you feel well.

WHAT IS NORMAL AFTERWARDS

  • A small bruise or tenderness at the cannula site.
  • A cool sensation in the arm during the infusion.
  • A metallic or vitamin taste with some formulations.
  • Needing the bathroom more often, as the fluids work through.

CALL US OR SEEK CARE

  • Swelling, spreading redness, warmth or pain along the vein.
  • Fever or chills after the infusion.
  • Rash, itching, breathlessness or swelling of the lips or face — seek urgent care.
  • Dark urine, unusual fatigue or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

YOUR SESSION

From question to drip, in four steps.

The first visit takes a little longer. After that, your formulation is on file and booking is quick.

01

Medical review

Your goal, history, medication and allergies. If something suggests an underlying cause for your symptoms — fatigue in particular — we look for it rather than infusing over it.

02

Formulation

A signature drip, or one adjusted to you. Doses and additions are prescribed by the doctor, and anything that needs screening first is flagged before the day.

03

The infusion

Around 40 minutes in a reclining chair — in our infusion room or wherever you are. Read, work, sleep. The nurse monitors the rate and how you feel throughout.

04

Aftercare and frequency

Drink water, keep the plaster on for an hour, and resume normal activity. Depending on what you wanted from the session, we recommend how often — if at all — to come back.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

Is IV vitamin therapy safe?

For most healthy adults, an infusion prescribed after a medical review and given by a qualified nurse is well tolerated. The risks are those of any cannula — bruising, irritation of the vein, rarely infection or an allergic reaction — plus formulation-specific cautions, such as kidney function and G6PD deficiency for high-dose vitamin C. That is exactly what the review is for.

Does it really absorb better than tablets?

Yes, in the sense that matters: an infusion enters the bloodstream directly, so nothing is lost to digestion. For vitamin C, a study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found the same dose produced a peak blood level around six and a half times higher intravenously. What we will not claim is that a higher blood level guarantees a specific health outcome — the evidence for many wellness uses is still developing.

How long does a session take?

Around 40 minutes for most drips. NAD+ is given more slowly, and boosters take only a few minutes. Your first visit takes a little longer because of the medical review.

How often should I have one?

It depends entirely on why you are having it. A Pre-Party or pre-travel Immunity drip is usually a one-off. Patients using IV therapy as part of a longer plan usually settle on a regular interval agreed with the doctor. We would rather you came back because it helps than because it is booked.

Can you come to my hotel or villa?

Yes. Our mobile service covers homes, hotels, offices and, by arrangement, yachts. A qualified nurse usually arrives within an hour of booking, depending on availability, and the same medical review applies before the first drip.

Who should not have an IV drip?

Infusions may be adjusted or declined in heart failure, significant kidney disease, some electrolyte disorders, pregnancy and breastfeeding (for certain formulations), known allergies to an ingredient, and — for high-dose vitamin C — G6PD deficiency or a history of kidney stones. Tell us about every medication you take, including supplements.

Will a drip fix my tiredness?

Sometimes it helps; often tiredness has a cause worth finding — iron deficiency, thyroid problems, poor sleep, low vitamin B12 or D, among others. If your fatigue is persistent, the right first step may be a blood test rather than an infusion, and we will say so.

Can I pay with my VA Wellness Club credit?

Yes. VA Beauty SCR can be spent on IV therapy like any other service at the clinic, and members can book infusions in the After-Hours Sanctuary at their tier's rate.

Not sure which drip suits you? Our clinical team will help you decide — or tell you that you don't need one.

What patients say.

The compliment we hear most is how easy it was.

  • “The nurse came to our villa before the wedding. Forty minutes later I was ready for the day.”

  • “They checked my bloods before recommending anything. It turned out I needed iron, not a drip.”

  • “An Immunity drip before the long flight home is now part of every holiday here.”

  • “I have my drip in the After-Hours suite with my membership credit. Complete privacy.”

OUR COMMITMENT

Satisfaction Guarantee

We would like to give you a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all our treatments, because we believe in each treatment we offer and in the quality and preparation of our staff. We will always offer you the treatment that we honestly believe could benefit you the most.

Ultimately, you are free to decide whether to move forward with all, some, or none of the treatment options we propose. Please take your time to consider whether our approach suits your needs in whole or at least in part.

What we can and cannot guarantee

Aesthetic and medical results are variable from person to person and many elements influence them. Although we do our best to achieve the result you desire, results cannot always be guaranteed. Ageing is a complex process influenced by many variables, and it does not stop.

Most people need a combination of treatments over a variable period — from weeks to months — followed by intermittent maintenance treatments to preserve the results obtained. This approach gives you the greatest chance of a natural, genuine and long-lasting rejuvenation.

What we do promise and guarantee are the highest possible standards in products used, human team, comfort, discretion, and safe and personalised attention, regardless of the treatment.

Your decisions and responsibilities

  • You are free to accept or reject our treatment proposal at any stage of the process. Please discuss your concerns and doubts thoroughly with our team before agreeing to a personalised treatment plan.
  • To be emphatic: you agree to purchase the treatment offered, not the result of the treatment performed.
  • You are responsible for the cost of additional treatments until you achieve the results you expect.
  • Your responsibility also covers the cost of resolving complications that may occur during or because of the treatments you undergo. We will do everything possible to limit such risks, following up-to-date protocols with sufficiently trained personnel.
  • Where complications are resolved in our centre, the charges for materials will be borne by you and we will cover the cost of performing the work.
  • Please read the informed consent documents and post-treatment care instructions in full, and ask us if you have any questions.

Disclaimer of warranties

We deliver the service “as is”, “with all faults” and “as available”, and the full risk as to satisfactory quality, execution, precision, safety and effort is with you. To the maximum level permitted by applicable law, we make no representations, warranties or conditions, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title and non-infringement, or that access to the service will be continuous or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the level permitted by applicable law, Victoria Wellness Center and its staff shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, punitive or exemplary damages, or for loss of use, data, business, revenues or profits arising out of or in connection with the services. The cumulative liability of the protected entities will not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the service.

Term and termination

These terms remain in full force and effect until terminated. Either party may terminate them at any time without notice. Upon termination or expiration, Victoria Wellness Center will stop providing the service to you.
