WHAT IS A HYDRAFACIAL?
A deep clean that leaves skin hydrated, not stripped.
A hydrafacial is a hydradermabrasion facial. A spiral tip glides over the skin, exfoliating and vacuuming out dead cells, oil and blackheads while cleansing and hydrating serums flow onto it at the same time. Then the skin is infused with hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and peptides.

Hydradermabrasion is gentle and well tolerated, but published research is still small. In a study presented at the American Academy of Dermatology meeting (Freedman, 2009), ten women had six sessions a week or so apart; biopsies showed thicker skin and higher antioxidant levels, with better tone and fewer fine lines. The study was small and sponsored by a manufacturer.
Multispectral imaging, the method behind our skin analysis, has been shown to give consistent measurements when photos are taken under the same conditions, as in a validation study of a similar camera system. That is why we use it to plan and to track your progress.

Simple aftercare.
- Some pinkness for a few hours is normal.
- Use sunscreen and avoid strong sun, sauna and swimming pools for 24 to 48 hours.
- Skip retinoids, acids and scrubs for 48 hours; light make-up from the next day.
- Book your next session in about four weeks to keep the result.
WHEN WE WAIT OR ADAPT
Tell us before your session if you:
- Have sunburn, an active cold sore, or rosacea or eczema flaring on the face.
- Have taken isotretinoin in the last six months, or had a peel, laser or injectables in the last two weeks.
- Are pregnant, or have a pacemaker or metal implants (no electrical handpieces).
- Notice a mole or spot that is changing: the doctor will check it, not the facial.

How much does a hydrafacial cost in Seychelles?
At Victoria Aesthetics the Hydrafacial Intense Pro (70 minutes) costs SCR 1,035. The Scalp Detox with hydrafacial technology costs SCR 2,800 per session or SCR 7,500 for a pack of three.
Why do you analyse my skin first?
The Derma Vision Master photographs your face in nine light modes and scores spots, pores, redness, texture and pigmentation. It shows what the eye cannot see, so the serums and handpieces are chosen for your skin, and the same images let us measure your progress over time.
Which machine do you use for the hydrafacial?
Our new HydroRevive Pro 15-in-1 system. It combines hydradermabrasion with oxygen spray, ultrasound, LED, cooling, microcurrent and lymphatic drainage handpieces, so each hydrafacial is built around what your skin analysis shows.
Does a hydrafacial hurt, and is there downtime?
No. Most people find it relaxing; extraction feels like a light suction. The skin may look pink for a few hours, and you can go back to your day straight away.
How often should I have a hydrafacial?
For maintenance, about every four weeks. For congested or acne-prone skin we may suggest a short series closer together, then monthly sessions.
Is it suitable for darker skin tones?
Yes. Hydradermabrasion uses no heat and gentle exfoliation, so it suits all skin tones. Acids and handpieces are adjusted to lower the risk of irritation and dark marks.
