Laser therapy for hair in Seychelles.
Two lasers. Two entirely different jobs.
Low-level laser therapy works by light alone, feeding energy to the follicle without breaking the skin. The 1927 nm laser does the opposite: it opens microscopic channels so a hair serum can reach the depth where the follicle lives. Both are used in the hair clinic, for different reasons, and this page explains which is which.

WHY TIMING DECIDES THE RESULT
A follicle that still produces something can be influenced.
Hair loss is gradual. Each cycle the follicle produces a slightly finer, slightly shorter hair, until what grows no longer covers anything. Neither laser can conjure a follicle that is no longer there — what they can do is work on the ones that are still cycling, which is why the result depends so heavily on when you start.
That is also why every course here begins with a scalp assessment rather than with a session. The assessment establishes what kind of hair loss you have, whether something else is driving it, and which of the two routes — or which combination — makes sense for you.
Both treatments are suitable for men and for women, and both can be used on their own, together, or alongside other hair-clinic treatments.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SCALP
One works through the skin. The other works through it.
The difference is not a detail — it changes what each treatment can do, how often it is given and what you feel. Switch between the two to see what each one does at the follicle.
Light passes through intact skin — nothing is broken.
LOW-LEVEL LASER THERAPY · PHOTOBIOMODULATION
Low-power laser light, or light-emitting diodes, delivered over the scalp. The energy is absorbed by the follicle, where it is understood to increase local blood flow and cellular activity and to encourage follicles towards the growing phase of the cycle. The skin is never broken and nothing is injected.

THE TWO ROUTES IN DETAIL
What each one actually is.
ROUTE ONE · LLLT
Low-level laser therapy, also called photobiomodulation.
Among the non-surgical options for alopecia, low-level laser therapy is one of the most studied. It is non-invasive and painless, it requires no anaesthesia and it has no recovery period: light is delivered to the scalp and you leave as you arrived. Patients typically report a reduction in shedding first, with hair that feels fuller and thicker over time.
It suits early and moderate pattern hair loss best — androgenetic alopecia in men and in women — and it is often used to stabilise hair loss and preserve what is already there, rather than to replace what has gone. Devices of this type have been reviewed by regulators for hair loss, and side effects are uncommon and mild.
It is a treatment of rhythm, not of events. Sessions are short and frequent — two to three times a week — and results are judged over months, not weeks. Maintenance is generally needed to hold what has been gained.
ROUTE TWO · 1927 NM + HAIR SERUM
A laser that opens the door, and a serum that walks through it.
Here the laser has a different job. At a wavelength of 1927 nm it creates microscopic channels across the thinning areas of the scalp, preparing the surface so that what is applied next can reach the depth of the follicle instead of sitting on top of the skin. The technique is designed to raise the absorption of the serum's active ingredients — up to five times more.
Once the scalp is prepared, the hair serum is worked in by a specific massage over the treated areas. It is formulated with peptides, vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid, to improve the condition of the scalp, stimulate the follicular unit and support growth and strength. Afterwards you carry on with your day as normal.
It can be given on its own, or before and after a follicular unit transplant, where the surgeon considers it appropriate.

THE TWO RHYTHMS
Different treatments keep different time.
This is where the two routes separate most clearly. One is frequent and short; the other is spaced and fewer. Switch between them to see the shape of each.
Show the rhythm of
Short sessions, two to three times a week, judged over months.
WEEK 0
Scalp assessment
The pattern identified and the schedule set before the first session.
WEEKS 1–4
Two to three a week
Thirty minutes each, with nothing to recover from between them.
MONTH 2
Shedding settles
The first change most patients notice is how much hair comes away.
MONTHS 3–6
Density is judged
Thickness and density are assessed on photographs taken in the same light and position.
ONGOING
Maintenance
A continuing schedule, reduced in frequency, to hold what has been gained.
WEEK 0
Scalp assessment
The thinning areas mapped, and the serum protocol agreed.
WEEKS 0–10
6 sessions, every 2 weeks
The full course: laser preparation and serum in the same visit, each time.
MONTH 3
The course closes
Photographs compared against the set taken at the assessment.
MONTHS 3–6
What grows next
Hair grows about a centimetre a month, so this is the honest window for judging density.
THEREAFTER
3 sessions a year
Maintenance therapy, spaced across the year, to sustain the result.
With hair loss, early intervention is what delivers the best restoration results.
WHY PATIENTS CHOOSE LASER THERAPY FOR HAIR
What both routes have in common.
Non-invasive
No surgery and no incisions, in either route.
Supports hair growth
Both are used to encourage follicles that are still cycling.
Reduces shedding
Stabilising hair loss and preserving existing hair is often the first and most valuable gain.
Convenient
Short sessions that fit into a working day.
No downtime
You resume your daily activities immediately afterwards.
Men and women
Suitable for both, and frequently chosen by women for exactly that reason.
Combines well
With exosome mesotherapy, with PRP, and before or after a transplant.
Painless
No anaesthesia is required for either route.
HOW IT IS USED IN THE HAIR CLINIC
Three ways to have it, depending on what your scalp needs.
THE COMBINATION MOST OFTEN RECOMMENDED
Exosome mesotherapy with low-level laser, in the same session.
The fullest version is the combined session: the exosome preparation is delivered into the scalp and the session closes with low-level laser over the treated area — thirty minutes in total, over a course of six sessions fifteen days apart.
Laser therapy for hair is also available on its own, as LED laser hair restoration with a growth serum: a short session of about fifteen minutes, usually taken as a course of six. It is the lightest and least expensive way into the hair clinic, and it is often what we suggest to someone who would rather start with maintenance than with a full course.
And it is given after the other infiltrative treatments for hair — platelet-rich plasma, polynucleotide mesotherapy, microneedling — where the laser closes the session. Laser therapy is also offered elsewhere in the clinic for purposes that have nothing to do with hair; those applications belong to body aesthetics and to skin treatment, and they are covered on their own pages.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU
Honest about who it suits.
USUALLY A GOOD FIT WHEN
- You have androgenetic alopecia in its early or moderate stages — mild to moderate thinning rather than complete loss.
- You want something non-invasive, painless and without downtime.
- Stabilising the loss and preserving what you have is a result you would value.
- You can keep to the schedule — frequent short sessions, or a course spread over weeks.
NOT THE RIGHT TREATMENT WHEN
- The area has been completely bald for years, with no hair of any kind.
- Something untreated is driving the loss — thyroid, iron, a medication, a scalp condition. That is addressed first.
- There is active infection, inflammation or scarring on the scalp.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or taking a medication that makes you light-sensitive. Tell us at the assessment.
- What you want is the density only a transplant can provide. We will say so rather than start a course.
INVESTMENT
What it costs.
Laser therapy for hair is priced on its own and inside the combined session, so you can start light or start full. The scalp assessment comes first, because the course cannot be recommended before we have examined your scalp.
-
SCALP ASSESSMENT
SCR 900
Fully redeemable against your treatment. Includes the examination, the plan and the first set of photographs.
-
LED LASER + GROWTH SERUM · 15 MIN
from SCR 450
SCR 500 for a single session, or SCR 2,700 for the pack of six — SCR 450 a session. The laser on its own, with the serum worked in afterwards.
-
WITH EXOSOME MESOTHERAPY · 30 MIN
SCR 4,800
The combined session. SCR 13,500 for a pack of three, which is SCR 4,500 a session; the recommended initial course of six is taken as two packs.
No consultation at Victoria Aesthetics is free: the scalp assessment is a medical examination and is credited in full against your treatment. Laser therapy is also used elsewhere in the clinic for purposes unrelated to hair, and those treatments are priced separately on their own pages.
MEDICAL AUTHORITY
Dr. Eric Licea, MD
Victoria Aesthetic & Wellness Clinic · Hair clinic
Dr. Licea examines the scalp, establishes the pattern of hair loss and decides which of the two laser routes — or which combination with the clinic's other hair treatments — is appropriate, along with the schedule it should follow.
At Victoria Aesthetics we work with laser therapy for hair restoration in Seychelles, and we will tell you at the assessment whether it is an effective option for your particular pattern of hair loss.
WHAT WE WILL NOT PROMISE
Laser therapy is a treatment of patience. If you want a result next month, this is not the honest route to it.
Responses vary between patients, and neither route can restore a follicle that is no longer there. What we commit to is an assessment that tells you which kind of hair loss you have, a clear statement of which route suits it and why, standardised photographs so that progress is measured rather than remembered, and a conversation at the end of the course about whether continuing is worth your money.
QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
What is LLLT hair treatment?
LLLT stands for low-level laser therapy. It is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-power lasers or light-emitting diodes to stimulate the hair follicles and support hair growth. Nothing is injected and the skin is not broken.
How does LLLT work?
It delivers light energy to the hair follicles, which is understood to increase local blood flow and cellular activity. The aim is to improve the condition of the follicle and encourage it towards the growing phase of the hair cycle.
How is that different from the 1927 nm laser you also use?
Completely different. Low-level laser therapy works through intact skin and breaks nothing. The 1927 nm laser deliberately creates microscopic channels in the scalp so that a hair serum can reach the depth of the follicle, and it is designed to increase absorption of that serum's active ingredients — up to five times more. One is a light treatment; the other is a delivery technique. Which of the two you are offered depends on your assessment.
Who is a good candidate?
Laser therapy is most useful for androgenetic alopecia — male or female pattern hair loss — in its early stages, or where thinning is mild to moderate. It may also help in other types of hair loss, such as alopecia areata. The assessment establishes which applies to you.
How long does a session take?
About thirty minutes in both routes.
How often will I need sessions?
It depends which route you are on, and on the severity of the hair loss. Low-level laser therapy is typically given two to three times a week; as LED laser hair restoration with a growth serum it is usually taken as a course of six. The 1927 nm laser with hair serum follows a course of six sessions every two weeks, with three maintenance treatments a year thereafter.
How long before I see results?
Most people start to see change after several months of consistent treatment: less shedding first, then an improvement in thickness and density, and new growth. Hair grows at roughly a centimetre a month, so patience is part of the treatment. No timeframe can be guaranteed for any individual.
How long do the results last?
Results can hold for months or longer, but pattern hair loss is a continuing process. Maintenance treatment is generally needed to sustain what has been gained.
Does it hurt?
No. Neither route requires anaesthesia. With low-level laser therapy you may feel a slight warmth on the scalp; with the serum route, the sensation is of the massage that works the serum in.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are uncommon and generally mild. Some people experience temporary redness or itching of the scalp, which settles on its own.
Can it be combined with other hair treatments?
Yes, and it usually is. Low-level laser therapy closes the exosome mesotherapy session, and it is also given after platelet-rich plasma, after polynucleotide mesotherapy and after microneedling. It combines with medical treatment for hair loss, and it can be used before or after a hair transplant where the surgeon considers it appropriate.
Is it suitable for women?
Yes. Both routes are used in women as well as men, and they are often chosen by women who prefer a treatment that is non-invasive and without downtime. Which treatments are appropriate for you — including whether a medical treatment should be part of the plan — is decided individually at the assessment.
What does it cost?
The scalp assessment is SCR 900 and is fully redeemable against your treatment. LED laser hair restoration with a growth serum is SCR 500 for a single session, or SCR 2,700 for a pack of six — SCR 450 a session. Inside the combined exosome mesotherapy session it is SCR 4,800 a session, or SCR 13,500 for a pack of three.

BEFORE YOU START A COURSE
Hair loss deserves a diagnosis before it gets a laser.
- Hair that has come out suddenly, in patches, or in handfuls over weeks needs assessing before any course is started.
- Thyroid disease, iron deficiency, recent illness, significant weight loss, childbirth and several common medications all cause hair loss, and all are treated differently.
- Redness, scaling, itching, pain or scarring on the scalp should be examined first — scarring alopecias do not respond to these treatments.
- Tell us about every medicine and supplement you take, particularly anything that makes you sensitive to light.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell us at the assessment.
