Medical Weight Loss Clinic in Seychelles

Medicine and lifestyle, working together.

We bring together effective, proven medical treatment with strategies to change your lifestyle. Non-surgical weight loss treatments are usually effective, although they require you to follow a tailored plan in order to maintain the initial weight loss.

OUR APPROACH

Treatment is only half of it.

At VA we know that every weight loss journey is different. That is why we offer a range of programmes to meet individual needs and goals, rather than a single protocol applied to everyone.

Medication reduces appetite and steadies blood sugar. What keeps the result is everything around it: a tailored eating plan, more physical activity — walking, swimming, resistance training — and a clinician following your progress for as long as the programme lasts.

  • 01Medical treatment
  • 02Tailored nutrition
  • 03Clinical follow-up

Medication is only dispensed after medical screening and a consultation with a physician. Suitability is assessed individually.

TREATMENTS

Two routes. One medical team.

Which route suits you depends on your starting point, your medical history and how your body responds. Your clinician will advise at consultation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Steady, supervised, around 15%.

Both routes aim for around 15% of total body weight. The balloon works over a defined 16-week programme; injections over months, with doses adjusted by your clinician. What happens after depends on the habits you build.

KEEP YOUR COMMITMENT

No bounce effect. The result you keep is the one you built habits around.

YOUR JOURNEY

From first consultation to goal weight.

Consultation is key. Everything that follows is built on what we find there.

  1. STEP 01

    Consultation

A detailed consultation, face to face or virtual, with one of our clinicians, to assess your suitability for our treatments.

  2. STEP 02

    Your treatment plan

If you are suitable, a treatment plan tailored to you is advised, including screening bloodwork before anything is prescribed.

  3. STEP 03

    Supervised progress

As you progress, our team continues overseeing your results and supports you towards your goal weight.

  4. STEP 04

    Maintenance

Around 15% of body weight lost. Keep the commitment, follow the recommendations, and the result holds over time.

BEFORE YOU START

Who qualifies, and what we check.

Medical weight loss is a prescription treatment. Screening protects you, and it also tells us which route is likely to work.

WHAT WE ASSESS

Your history, your bloods, your goals.

  • Full medical history and current medication
  • Thyroid panel, complete blood count and metabolic panel
  • Baseline weight, BMI and body composition
  • Cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors
  • What you have already tried, and what got in the way

Contact us to find out whether you qualify for our weight loss programme in Seychelles.

WHAT THE PROGRAMME ASKS OF YOU

The part medication cannot do.

  • A tailored eating plan, followed consistently
  • Regular physical activity — walking, swimming, resistance training
  • Attending your follow-up appointments
  • A minimum six-month commitment, or until healthy habits are established

Without these, weight regain is possible after any treatment ends. This is true of every weight loss method, not only ours.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure which route fits you? That is exactly what the consultation is for.

Do I need a consultation before starting?

Yes. After you choose a therapy, a consultation is booked with a physician. Medication is only dispensed after medical screening and a provider consultation.

Do I need blood tests?

Yes. We need to see a thyroid panel, a complete blood count and a metabolic panel before prescribing.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Our programmes aim for around 15% of total body weight. Results vary between individuals and depend on your starting point, adherence and lifestyle.

How long should I commit for?

Our recommendation is a minimum of six months, or until you have acquired the habits that will help you maintain a healthy weight.

Is the medication a stimulant?

No. Because it is not a stimulant, it can be a good option for people who cannot take stimulant-based appetite suppressants such as phentermine, which are often unsuitable where cardiovascular disease is present.

Can I be treated if I have another medical condition?

Often, yes. These medications can be prescribed for patients with cardiovascular and metabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, and may improve those markers alongside weight. Your suitability is confirmed at consultation.

Where do I administer the injection?

Doses can be self-administered at home or at the office, or given at the clinic, whichever you prefer. You are shown how at your appointment.

Will the weight come back if I stop?

Weight regain is possible after any treatment ends if habits are not maintained. That is why the programme includes nutritional guidance and continued follow-up, and why we ask for a six-month commitment.

What is the difference between the injections and the balloon?

The injections work on appetite and blood sugar signalling and are used over months. The balloon reduces stomach volume for a defined 16-week programme and is placed without surgery, endoscopy or anaesthesia. Your clinician will advise which suits your case.
