Frequently asked questions

The exact cause is not well known, but gynecomastia has been correlated to some medications, hormonal imbalance and steroid use.

The only way to reverse gynecomastia is through male breast reduction surgery. During the operation, the surgeon uses a combination of liposuction and excision techniques to remove fat and glandular tissue.

The treatment is divided into several sessions of 15-20 minutes, once a week for approximately 4 weeks, and are combined with maintenance sessions after a month. The exact number of sessions is individualized and depends on different patient factors.

You will be disappointed to learn that no matter how hard you try with diet or exercise your boobs will not get smaller. Exercise can reduce chest localized fat; however, it has no effect on the dense glandular tissue caused by gynecomastia.

The only way to flatten an excessively large male chest is with male breast reduction surgery.

We hide carefully the incision lines, and they should fade considerably after the operation. Nevertheless, you will be happy to exchange your enlarged breasts for barely visible scars.

Recovery varies from patient to patient and depend on the extent of the procedure. Generally, patients return to normal life about a week later. Light exercise can be restarted two weeks after surgical procedure and more strenuous activities  2  months after surgery.

Achieved results are permanently. However, in some cases like weight increase, steroid abuse and hormone imbalances could lead to a relapse of gynecomastia.

In addition to improving the appearance of the chest, gynecomastia surgery can also lead to an increase in self-confidence and sexual satisfaction. Many men have newfound motivation to exercise and maintain their results.
